Took a drive out to St. Louis, well okay a couple miles short of St. louis. but we were on the border for this years No Star Bash hosted by Drift Indy and Club FR for all the drifting action with Rival House throwing in a car show to boot. 80 drivers came out to partake in the drifting action and it was two days of sideways drifting action.
Day 1 started off windy and the morning action got started off. You could tell some of these guys were shaking off the winter rust and as the day wore on the drifting got better and better. There were a few breakdowns and a few lost bumpers but all in all it was a great day of drifting action.
Sunday got warm and we were kinda wanting a bit of the wind back. at the drivers meeting Nick Swann tried to get the guys fired up telling them to get out there and tear that track up. And it seemed to work, it didn't hurt that the guys from Hoonigan were there with a few grand in cash to give out to the sickest runs either. Allright let's be honest. it was probalby the cash money that got the guys fired up. Day 2 was like a whole new group of guys were out on the track. All the rust was shaken off and the guys were tearing it up.
The car show had some cool cars show up both days and helped add to the atmosphere and gave people something else to look at and check out between drift rounds.
This was my first time out to the No Star Bash and it was a great event at a great facillity, I look forward to next year. Big thanks for the guys at Drift indy and Club FR for putting on this event. Find the rest of my photos from the action on my website at www.square1photography.net
