I got contacted by Jeremy to shoot his Scion XB, as he was looking to get rid of it and he wanted to have some photos around to show his kids he was once cool. So we setup an appointment for the next week after work. I got home from the day job running late as usual. i got the gear loaded up in the Trailblazer and pull out of our subdivision and my check engine light goes on, the car goes into limp mode, and I'm now maxed out doing around 5mph. I wait for traffic and get the car turned around and back to the house and I'm calling Jeremy about the situation. It was looking like rain and we debated on cancelling the session but he was allready at the spot and it was a bit of a drive for him. So, what do I do? Throw all the gear in the sunfire and get there as quick as I can. This car is not meant to hold gear, but I made the best of it and we started shooting. The clouds were dark but we kept thinking it was going to pass right over us and be fine. We shot for maybe and hour and were doing some rolling shots and when those were done it was getting darker and darker. I grabbed my light and softbox and started shooting, I maybe had about 10 minutes before the rain came and we had to get the gear in the car but I got what I needed and it made for some really cool photos. I'm glad we didn't put the shoot off, and glad Jeremy wasn't upset about me being 20 minutes late due to my car breaking down. but the photos were worth it in the end. Jeremy was happy and that's what matters.
See you at the track.
